Trane Endurance Team: Final Post
Yesterday was our last day in Annapolis.
In the morning, we were fortunate to watch American soloist Cassie Schumacher cross the finish line. We saw Cassie several times throughout our journey following the Race Across America Powered by Trane. She is such an inspiration and exhibited incredible strength, pushing through to the end. She never gave up and seeing her finish her race triumphantly proved her to be unstoppable.
At the last banquet in the afternoon, we chose one final team to receive the Trane Unstoppable Award: Mira Quebec from Canada. Comprised of eight amateur cyclists with off-the-shelf bikes and a minimal support crew, this team truly earned the Unstoppable Award. They raced across America in support of Foundation Mira, which is dedicated to pairing disabled individuals with dogs who are bred and trained to help with their rehabilitation needs.
Throughout our journey, we’ve had the opportunity meet many crew members, cyclists, and RAAM volunteers and employees. It is hard to say goodbye to so many amazing people! RAAM racers and crews embody the unstoppable drive and relentless motivation to make this world a better place, one mile at a time. To say they are an inspiration is an understatement.
We would like to say a big thanks to everyone involved with Race Across America Powered by Trane! You ALL are truly UNSTOPPABLE!
Your Trane Endurance Team,
Alison and Tori
